About me

Hi, I'm Evelyn... but my friends call me Evie!

I am a qualified primary teacher and professional artist living in Hampshire, UK.

I have always loved animals and am very lucky to have grown up alongside both dogs and horses. I am very thankful to my parents for supporting my horse-riding addiction throughout my childhood and teen years through various local riding schools! After a three-year break where I attended the University of Chichester to gain my Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), I quickly found a fantastic job teaching primary children. After a year, I was able to save up and buy my very own horse of a lifetime - Flynn. He is my inspiration and motivation to keep drawing... Horses are not cheap pets after all! 6 years later, I took the leap to persue my dream of becoming a full-time professional artist!

My family tell me that I have always been "arty" from the moment I could hold a pencil. Throughout my childhood I used endless amounts of pencils and paper to create my own cartoon horse characters and stories to go alongside them. As a teen I progressed to digital art using Photoshop and a graphics tablet, still keeping the focus on horses! I finally rediscovered my love of pencils as a twenty-something, being inspired by the works of other incredible artists on social media.

I am incredibly lucky to have such a fantastic, supportive network of people around me who encourage and motivate me every day. I feel immensely proud to have been chosen to create artwork for each and every one of my clients.

Thank you for taking the time to learn a little about me!

Evie x
